CMFW Fall Festival 2018,
“Cradling the Sound”: Festival of Music and Family
CMFW Orchestra Concert
Sunday, October 7th, at 4 pm to 5:30 pm
Oak Hill United Methodist Church on 7815 US-290, Austin, TX 78749
Conductor: Michael Schneider, CMFW Artist-in-Residence
Our orchestra members will play this concert to improve the world around us and the society we live in. Our music will inspire people to look for beauty and, most importantly, to share life, whether in good or bad times. This performance is about celebrating the human beings we are through music. Our orchestra also gives an opportunity for musicians to make harmony together beyond social status and age barriers. To keep our music highly artistic, we invite professional musicians to play in the orchestra as well as advanced-level students and amateur adult musicians.
In this concert, we are playing Vivaldi, Haydn, and Mozart, who together represent the eras from baroque to classical.
