“Musicians in Crisis: Restoring Your Self-Worth”
Saturday, October 6th, at 1:30 pm to 3 pm
All Faiths Chapel on 4110 Guadalupe St. Bldg #639, Austin, TX 78751
How many of us know a classical musician in crisis? Crippling self-doubt? Or maybe this describes us? Or our students?
The relentless pursuit of an always-elusive perfection gets the best of us sometimes. With levels of competition higher than ever and the added pressures of society and social media, our music students are right in the boiling pot of inner turmoil.
How do we understand and handle the emotional curve of before and after a performance? How do we combat nerves? Above all, how do we break the myth of ‘only as good as our last performance’?
